🌲 Evergreen needleleaf forest landcover
Area covered by either closed or open evergreen needleleaf forest. Almost all needleleaf trees remain green all year. Canopy is never without green foliage. Closed forest has tree canopy >70%. Open forest has top layer – trees 15-70 % – and second layer – mix of shrubs and grassland.
